Very simple recipe ... makes about 2 dozen ... very easily doubled
- 1 and 1/8 cups All Purpose Flour
- 1/3 cup Brown Sugar packed
- 1/3 cup White Sugar
- 1/2 cup Butter - softened to room temperature
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 Large Egg
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Mix together, Butter, Brown Sugar, White Sugar, Vanilla and Egg either by hand or beaters - your choice!
- Add Flour, Baking Soda and Salt to the wet mixture - stir carefully and really well - you do not want any excess flour residue
- Add Chocolate Chips - stir in
- On an UN-GREASED cookie sheet drop one inch balls of dough - evenly spread (you many want to use two spoons to help you get the sticky dough off)
- Bake for 7 to 8 minutes - until the bottoms are brown and the tops are just starting to brown too (they should look under cooked though)
- Remove from oven and let sit on cookie sheet for 15 minutes (this finishes the cooking process, but leaves them soft)
- Remove to wire racks, or plates
- Enjoy with a tall glass of milk! (remember to share this milk with your favourite cat)
